![]() A scene that has been burned in my mind for forever. THAT BEING SAID, there is one scene from the first movie that I doubt the fancy CGI’d sequel could ever top. In the SpongeBob SquarePants movie, Hasselhoff, who plays himself, swims across the sea with SpongeBob and Patrick on his back. So yes, I'm still very excited for TSBSPM:SPOoW, thanks for asking. Weird as it is, I actually like the trailer a great deal, OK? At the end of the day it's a SpongeBob movie and I love SpongeBob. No, the 3D characters won't stop me from seeing the sequel. Admittedly, I raised my eyebrows at the CGI-ification of the characters, for one of the many things the show and the first movie do right is combining 2D and live-action flawlessly (FLAWLESSLY, I say!). TSBSPM:SPOoW will cannonball into theaters in 2015 and it will take SpongeBob, Patrick, and the other denizens of Bikini Bottom to the next dimension. ![]() He’s also an ace crackerjack fry cook in a greasy spoon called the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob SquarePants (Tom Kenny) is a sponge who wears square pants and who lives in a town on the ocean floor called Bikini Bottom (get it). Am I amped about The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie: Sponge Out of Water? You bet your sandy cheeks I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready! If you told middle school Kristie that SpongeBob SquarePants would continue to be pumping out new episodes and movies when she was an adult, she’d probably flash a shiny grin (her braces really did sparkle whenever they caught the light), give you a high five, and then ask you if you think she should grow out her bangs or leave them be.
